The vessel is named after steamer timber-carrier "Igarka" built
in England in 1936. The steamer ship was operated by FESCO from
1939 till 1970. After that it was signed away to Primorribflot.
Igarka is a town (since 1931) in Tutrukhanskiy area of Krasnoyarskiy
region of Russia. The town it located on the shore of Igarka's
branch of Enisey river, 1330 km north from Krasnoyarsk. Igarka
is located outbound of arctic circle, in permafrost area.

Tweendeck from fore bulkhead of hold N2 and up to steering gear room bulkhead is a rolling deck for horizontal loading of wheeled vehicles. Loading is carried out trough side stern ramp and side ports in transverse bulkheads.
