Operating in increased risks area FESCO understands its responsibility for maintenance of environmental safety and preservation of unique landscapes and biosphere of the Earth.

Strictly observing the  severest requirements of environmental legislation of various countries, the Company does not consider possible to passively follow standards and regulations.

FESCO actively participates in the projects oriented to saving and protection of the biosphere. Annually the vessels of FESCO participate in research expeditions and provide needs of research stations. the Company takes pride that icebreakers of FESCO in the very difficult conditions released the  whales doomed to death from ice captivity near Alaska shores; within 2 navigations giving icebreaker assistance for transport vessels to the berth of the station — the  provided operation of the  McMurdo esearch station.

The Company strives not only to reduce negative effect on the environment, minimize interference into the environment but to assist in preservation of wild world in every corner of the  planet where it operates. Thanks to the  Environmental Management System the Company clearly and openly regulates its activities in order to provide environmental safety and demands similar actions from its partners.
