General cargo transportation

FESCO carries out sea, rail and road transportation of general cargo. FESCO general cargo transportation geography: Russia, countries of Southeast Asia, Europe and CIS countries, North America, Middle East.

About the service

FESCO Transport Group transports the following general cargoes:

  • metal products: bars, ingots, rolled products, strips, scrap metal, wire, etc.;
  • mobile equipment (self-propelled and wheeled/tracked);
  • grain in containers;
  • pipes, including in containers;
  • reinforced concrete products and structures;
  • cargo in transport bags;
  • piece cargo in a package (for example, in boxes);
  • large-size and heavy cargoes;
  • timber (boards, lumber, plywood, etc.);
  • cement, non-ferrous metal ores and concentrates in big bags;
  • barrel cargoes: in barrels, drums, baskets, etc.;
  • bulk cargoes (petroleum products, fuel, liquid and caustic substances, etc.).
Such cargoes are transported as a full transport batch – railcar, container or road train, on ships of regular FESCO lines, as well as in consolidated batches:
  • in containers packed in line bags,
  • applying other package (boxes, bags, barrels, big bags, containers, bales).

At all stages of transportation, regardless of the type of vehicle and route, FESCO guarantees the safety of packaging and delivered products, as transportation is carried out in accordance with the requirements specified in the IMO Code of safe practice for cargo placement and securing.

FESCO transports general cargoes by:

  • Sea transport. It is often used for exportation/importation and coastal transportation of large shipments.
  • Rail transport. The large network of railway lines and its own railway assets enable FESCO to transport general cargoes to significant distances with an acceptable cost of services.
  • Road transport. Door-to-door cargo delivery by FESCO: to short distances from terminals to an end consignee.
